What it means
In practice
Stock that adds up
Receiving a purchase order adds stock at cost; every sale takes it out and posts cost of goods. The Inventory Valuation report always matches the balance sheet.
Takings in two minutes
Enter the day's total as a sales receipt split by payment method, or one receipt per sale. Cash and card deposits are matched when you reconcile.
Buy before you run out
Stock Status shows items at or below their reorder point; Stock Status by Vendor turns it into an order list per supplier.

Every sale takes stock out at cost.
The back office of the shop, finally under control
Your till rings up the sale; AcboBooks keeps the books behind it. Margins by item, sales by month, what is sitting on the shelf and what it is worth.
Count the stock at year-end, enter the differences, and the books are corrected with one adjustment.

What it does not do
· Not a point-of-sale system: no till, card reader or barcode scanner. Use your POS for checkout and enter the day's totals.
· Windows 10 and 11 for now (a Mac version is coming soon); no phone app.
· It imports your bank's statement file rather than connecting live to the bank.
Questions people ask
Before you download
Does it replace my till?
No. Keep your point-of-sale system for checkout. Enter the day's totals as a sales receipt; it takes a minute.
Which costing method does it use?
Average cost, the same as QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Premier.
Can it handle sales tax in my state or province?
Yes: set the rates you charge once, and the liability report gives you each agency's figures for the return.
Can two people work in it?
Yes, on the shop's network: one PC hosts the file, another connects. Two computers are included.
