What it means
In practice
Funds as classes
Each fund or program is a class. Income and expenses carry the class, so every report can be split by fund, and the Statement of Activities shows each one.
Donor restrictions shown
Mark which funds are donor-restricted. The Statement of Activities (ASC 958) separates net assets without and with donor restrictions.
Budgets the board can follow
Enter a budget by account and fund and compare actuals each month. Reports export to Excel with live formulas.

Reports by fund, ready for the board.
Every dollar traced to the purpose it was given for
A grant arrives restricted to a program; its income and every expense against it carry the program's class. At year-end the reports show what was spent where, and what is still held.
Your accountant gets clean figures for the Form 990 or the T3010, without reconstructing the year.

What it does not do
· No donor management or receipting module for tax receipts; keep donor records in your CRM.
· It does not prepare the Form 990 or T3010; it gives your accountant the figures.
· Windows 10 and 11 for now (a Mac version is coming soon); no phone app.
· It imports your bank's statement file rather than connecting live to the bank.
Questions people ask
Before you download
Can it produce a Statement of Activities?
Yes, by fund, with net assets split into without and with donor restrictions, following ASC 958.
How do I track restricted grants?
Create a class for the grant and mark it donor-restricted. Tag the grant income and every expense paid from it with that class.
Can volunteers use it?
Yes, on the office network with their own user and role. View-only users can see reports without changing anything.
Is there a nonprofit discount?
The price is the same for everyone, and it is a single payment rather than a yearly fee.
