Inventory software for small business
Inventory that ties straight into your books
Track stock on hand, average cost and reorder points, buy with purchase orders, receive into stock, and sell with the cost of goods posted automatically. The inventory and the accounting are the same file, so they always agree.
Built into AcboBooks, for $399.99 once: no separate inventory app to connect and keep in sync.
No card, no account. Windows 10 and 11. United States and Canada.

What it means
In practice
Cost of goods, automatically
Each sale takes the item out of stock at its average cost and posts cost of goods sold. Your profit and loss shows real margins without a month-end journal.
Buying, start to finish
Purchase orders, item receipts when goods arrive before the bill, and the bill when it comes. Partial receipts and backorders are tracked.
Counts that correct the books
After a stock count, Adjust Inventory records the difference for shrinkage, damage or a value change, with the adjustment posted to the right account.

Selling an item takes it out of stock at average cost.
Know what is on the shelf and what it is worth
The Stock Status report shows on hand against each item's reorder point and flags what to buy. The Inventory Valuation report gives the value of what you hold, the figure your accountant needs at year-end.
Stock Status by Vendor turns that into a shopping list per supplier.

What it does not do
· No barcode scanning and no multi-warehouse locations.
· No assemblies or bills of materials.
· Average costing only (no FIFO).
· Windows 10 and 11 for now (a Mac version is coming soon); no phone app.
· One company per file; open as many files as you have businesses.
Questions people ask
Before you download
Which costing method does it use?
Average cost, recalculated as stock is received. It is the method QuickBooks Desktop Pro and Premier use and suits most small retailers and trades.
Can I import my items?
Yes: the item list comes in from a QuickBooks Desktop export or a spreadsheet (CSV), and opening quantities are entered as of your start date.
Does it work for a shop?
For the back office, yes: items, buying, stock and sales posting. There is no till; record a day's sales as sales receipts.
Can more than one person receive stock?
Yes. On the office network, several people can work in the file at once with record locking.
